WORLDWIDE REACH

CAR BODY BUCKS

3D CAR SCANS

For record-keeping, research, restoration or the basis for a new vehicle.

Our work for “The Dom”. Fantastic day, scanning what will be a great car.

CAD

We coined the phrase “Reverse engineered parts should not look like they dropped off the planet “CAD” yesterday”. Sadly, for many, this is often the case. Forte Vision tries to replicate parting lines for castings and the gentle undulations of parts made by more traditional methods.

Forte Vision were the first people on the planet to completely reverse engineer an out-of- production vehicle in a CAD system: the Bugatti Type 35 project. Plans from The Bugatti Trust were utilised with permission and full support, along with sketches, photographs, real parts and 3D laser scanning.

COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGERY (CGI)

An essential part of the process to bring your car into the world. Our workflow now includes visualising your car in Virtual Reality (VR) with you at the design review stages, wherever you are.

The Mystery Car. also known as the Blue Car and as the Bracco MKVII, now available to buy. Everything you see in the video is computer generated by Forte Vision for our “Mystery Car” research.

“The” Mystery Car? The most famous unknown car on the internet?

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SMILE!

Cars can be about price, investment, prestige, rarity and good old-fashioned “my dad had one” or “my bedroom had a poster on the wall” of a particular vehicle. We like to think it is that warm glow of satisfaction. The pleasure of your car revealing itself as the garage door opens. It makes you smile. It should be fun.

Coachbuilders. Arguably the most important link in a car project. Mouland & Yates, panel workers, happy to be well on the way to completing another specialist car. The Forte Vision car body buck used is in the background.

Ronald “Steady” Barker toasts the (almost) completion of his design idea. Interpretative design, 3D scans and renders by Forte Vision. Now available as the Bracco MKI.

The Sterling Speedster® and its owner. Finished in time for his wedding. Initial design and car body buck by Forte Vision. It must be said that the owner did an incredible job of making the car and buck his own, with design features and attention to detail added that was off the scale superb.

THE SMILE (HISTORICALLY)

Our heroes. Car designers and engineers that against all the odds, working crazy long hours… and after repeatedly being told what they wanted to achieve could not be done… did it.

These people were rugged individuals who innovated and created amazing cars until the very end of their lives.

Forte Vision would have been happy to have any of our vehicles critiqued by the individuals above. Would they have approved? We haven’t a clue, but we are of the opinion that the information exchange would have been followed by a robust and well argued debate from all sides.

The qualities of the individuals above are what we are trying to replicate. Innovative, hard-working and with the confidence to pursue a vision. Often against the odds. This is why we create bespoke cars of our own style. Your own style. The path is tougher, but the results speak for themselves.

It is the founders and the creators we want to emulate and we do not hang on the coat-tails of brands. Why would we when virtually all brands relying on their historical back catalogue to sell their vehicles, have just had any credible use they can make of their heritage blown up by being forced to go to electric propulsion? When their designs are restricted by legislation to the extent that cars in a particular market segment all tend to err towards the same computer driven solution? This is not a criticism of manufacturers. They have morphed into a different place by necessity. Forte Vision just has more empathy with the person that started the journey. We like the character and not the corporate as a general rule.
